Managing Learning Through Learning Management Systems

Sign up or log in to save this to your schedule and see who's attending!

Transform a conventional classroom into a captivating classroom, connecting students, making them responsible for their own learning. In a BYOD or technology rich environment, teachers can utilize a variety of programs, apps and more to transform antiquated lessons. Participants will create small groups, forums, quizzes, submit assignments and more, with smart phones, tablets, and other devices - using technology to promote online discussions, as a means for creating, publishing, and even grading multi-media projects, for delivering information and notifications, and allowing for active involvement, engaging interactions and exciting new twists to traditional ideas.

This is my 26th year teaching English Language Arts, except for one year teaching in London as a Fulbright Exchange Teacher. I love teaching as much today as I did when I first began. I consider myself a lifelong learner, so as technology changes and evolves, so do I. I work to seamlessly integrate emerging technology and educational trends into my classroom by updating traditional lessons and creating new ones.
