Hour of Code for grades K-5
Many teachers are scared to take on more and Hour of Code may sound very foreign to them. I would like to demonstrate how easily they can implement the program in their classroom and make it age appropriate for the different elementary grades. I will show them a variety of approved programs that we can use in the classroom to show our students the joy of computer science and writing code.

Digital Differentiation with Google Apps
In the 21st Century Classroom, it can be difficult to design learning experiences that both incorporate student choice and differentiation for learning levels and styles. This session will show you how to make that happen with student choice menus created in Google Apps, creating a paperless classroom where the students take ownership of their learning. Participants will walk away with strategies for differentiation and student choice using menus and Google Apps. Participants will learn how to turn menus into webpages, and use Google Apps to go paperless while giving students voice and choice in their learning.

The Round Rock ISD Flipped Classroom
The term "flipped classroom" is so new to the educational vernacular that it is open to wide interpretation. In Round Rock ISD, we have developed a clear model of what the flipped classroom should look like in our district as well as how to implement it. This session will introduce teachers to the RRISD Flipped Classroom Model and provide tools for them to take back and use in their own classrooms.

Google Forms to save your sanity
I have launched out and started using Google Forms for all types of data collection with my students and department. Some examples are Google Form to collect Student Data at the beginning of the year, Parent Data through Parent Night and email, student cooperative work to crowd source information and finally, to collect data from my department and be able to manipulate that data.

There are many other uses, but I grabbed on to those and learned Google Forms through them. That is my advice to teachers who shy away from technology. Pick one thing and go from there. Make mistakes and try again.
