Christy is a former high school English and creative writing teacher, a former technology coordinator for a K-12 school district and Google Apps for Education administrator, and a current instructional technology specialist at Round Rock ISD. Christy moved to another district and helped transition over 3000 students and faculty to Google Apps for Education. She is a Certified Google Apps for Education Trainer and Google Certified Teacher, Edmodo Certified Trainer, flipped certified teacher, an avid blogger, and an instructional technology geek--always on the lookout for new tools to improve education, enhance digital literacy and digital citizenship curricula, and change the educational framework. She presented on Google Chrome Extensions at ISTE 2013. This year, she co-organized the inaugural Google Ninja Academy in Round Rock, Texas, where she also presented. She has presented at a variety of other conferences on both Google and Edmodo including TCEA 2012, 2013, METC 2011, 2012, EdMedia, M3, and various others. Her experience as a classroom teacher helps her build integration strategies appropriate for the teacher.
